In 1995, Dr. Adam Back created the original RSA shirt in protest of the US government classifying RSA encryption code as a munition illegal to export. By printing functional encryption software on a t-shirt, he demonstrated that code is speech—and speech cannot be regulated like weapons.
The famous RSA shirt that took centre stage during the crypto wars is back for a limited re-edition. The update of the classic design features a modern aesthetic while preserving its rebellious spirit.
The front features the iconic "Cypherpunks Write Code" quote and the back displays the munition warning and shortened RSA encryption code in Perl.
In the 90s they said this code was too dangerous for the world. Adam Back said the world was more dangerous without it and put it on a shirt.
They lost. Wear the proof.
